About Me

Francois Smit
Marketing Manager
I started my career in marketing, then transitioned into sales for a while, and ultimately returned to marketing, so I have a deeper understanding of how both sides work.
That mix of experience means I know how to create marketing that doesn’t just look good on a dashboard, but actually supports sales and drives results.
Most of my recent work has been in paid social and demand generation, building and optimising campaigns that bring in the right leads and help businesses grow. I’ve worked across small companies, medium-sized businesses, startups, and large corporates, which has given me a broad perspective on what works in different environments.
I’m HubSpot Marketing Certified and have helped clients achieve strong growth by combining HubSpot, paid media, and practical demand gen strategies. At Vodafone Business, I managed their B2B paid social strategy, building the structure from scratch and optimising it over time. Before that, at Peppy Health, I set up paid campaign structures, managed HubSpot workflows, and worked on projects that delivered measurable results. You can see some of those results below.
Outside of work, I’m a big animal lover (cat's and dogs), we have a cat called Chloe and I’m happiest when I’m near water, whether it’s swimming, the beach, or being out on a boat. I love food, BBQing, and spending time with friends.
I sometimes run with my wife, although she’s far too quick, and I like hitting the gym or swimming. I’m into anything tech, personal finance, or business-related, and I’m a sports fan too, rugby, tennis, and I’ve recently started playing darts again.
I’m also extremely competitive, so if there’s a game or sport involved, you can count on me to try and win.
At the end of the day, I’m a marketer who knows sales and I bring that same drive, creativity, and competitive edge to helping businesses grow.
